Meet Matthew Pohlkamp, future entrepreneur. Matthew is currently a student at the University of California, Berkeley, where he is studying business and economics. But that’s not all – he is also the founder of his own company, Blue1647. Blue1647 is a technology incubator and co-working space for early stage startups and entrepreneurs. They offer access to resources, mentorship, and a community of like-minded individuals all working towards success in the tech industry. We had the chance to sit down with Matthew and ask him about his entrepreneurial journey, what inspired him to start Blue1647, and what advice he has for other aspiring entrepreneurs out there.

Matthew Pohlkamp is a senior at the University of Notre Dame. He’s majoring in finance and accounting and has a minor in entrepreneurship. He’s also the president of the Student Entrepreneurship Club on campus. In his free time, he likes to play sports, listen to music, and read business books. He’s originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, and has two younger brothers. This spring, Matthew will be interning with Goldman Sachs in their investment banking division in New York City. After his internship, he plans to return to Notre Dame to finish his degree. Eventually, he wants to start his own business. “I’ve always been interested in entrepreneurship,” he says. “It’s something that I want to do down the road.”

Pohlkamp is currently a civil engineering student at the University of Cincinnati and will be graduating in 2019.

After graduation, Pohlkamp plans to work for a engineering firm for a few years before starting his own company.

Matthew’s Childhood and Family

Matthew Pohlkamp was born on October 1, 2004, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to parents Mark and Lisa Pohlkamp. He has two older sisters, Sarah and Emily. Growing up, Matthew was always interested in business and entrepreneurship. He would often set up lemonade stands and sell items he made himself, such as beaded bracelets and painted rocks. His parents encouraged his creativity and helped him develop his business skills.

In 2016, at the age of 12, Matthew started his own online store called Matt’s Market. He sells a variety of products, including t-shirts, keychains, and stickers. He also offers custom design services. Matthew is currently homeschooled so that he can focus on growing his business. In addition to running Matt’s Market, he is also a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!), where he participates in workshops and pitch competitions.

In the future, Matthew plans to attend college and continue growing his business. He hopes to one day become a successful entrepreneur like his role model, Richard Branson.

Matthew’s Education

Matthew Pohlkamp is currently a sophomore at The University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management. He is pursuing a degree in business administration with an emphasis in entrepreneurship and a minor in Spanish.

The Eller College of Management provides an excellent environment for entrepreneurs, with resources like the Student Innovation Center and experienced faculty mentors.

Outside of class, Matthew is involved in several extracurricular organizations that have helped him develop important skills for his future career. He is a member of the Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Association, which organizes events and workshops on topics like pitching to investors and starting a business. He is also Treasurer of Students Consulting for Non-Profits, which provides pro bono consulting services to local non-profit organizations. Through these experiences, he has learned how to lead teams, manage finances, and market himself and his ideas effectively.

After graduation, Matthew plans to start his own social impact venture or join a startup as an early employee. He is passionate about using business as a force for good, and believes that entrepreneurs have the power to solve some of the world’s most pressing problems. With hard work and determination, he knows he can make his vision a reality.

Matthew’s Businesses

Matthew has always been a go-getter. When he was just eight years old, he started his first business: a lemonade stand. He saved up his allowance and bought supplies, set up a sign, and eagerly waited for customers. And they came! His lemonade stand was a huge success, and Matthew made a profit.

Encouraged by his success, Matthew went on to start several more businesses over the years. He had a lawn mowing business in middle school, and in high school he started a DJ business. He even dabbled in real estate, buying and selling properties with his father.

Today, at just 22 years old, Matthew is already a successful entrepreneur. He has several businesses that are doing well, and he shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. We have no doubt that he will continue to be successful in whatever ventures he pursues!

Matthew’s Work Ethic and Motivation

Matthew Pohlkamp is a senior at Loveland High School and has been working hard to start his own business. He is motivated by his desire to be successful and provide for himself and his family. Matthew’s work ethic is evident in his commitment to his studies and his business. And it’s not just about what Matthew can do for himself; he also wants to use his skills and knowledge to help others. He is currently working on launching his own business, which will provide affordable marketing and web design services to small businesses and nonprofits.

“I’m passionate about helping others reach their goals,” he says. “That’s what drives me.”

Matthew’s Plans for the Future

In addition, Matthew has started a small online business selling custom-made t-shirts.
